My 78th Book of the Year, My Biggest Podcast Appearance So Far, and What I'm Reading Now!

Remember how, for the life of me, I could barely finish one book before running off to buy more, starting those new ones, then suddenly find myself reading nine different books at once?

Yeah, so it turns out that I’m still that person.

I haven’t cracked the code yet on that one, but my latest YouTube video goes into the 78th book I finished in 2024, and the nine (9!) books I’m currently reading.

They’re mostly nonfiction, although there are a few surprises in there, along with several of my absolute favorite “books about books.”

I’m also working on my latest book breakdown for you guys: Feel-Good Productivity, by Ali Abdaal. Shooting for Tuesday on that one.

More “advanced” nonfiction readers will be familiar with some of the material (it’s still very worth reading though!), but beginner readers just getting into productivity/business book will find it revelatory.

The last bit of news I’ll share though is that I was a guest on John A. Brink’s podcast, On the Brink!

I’m really liking his book right now: Living Young, Dying Old.

John’s the oldest competitive bodybuilder in North America (at 84!!), with a variety of business interests in northern Canada, and a full life with all of his community involvement, ADHD awareness work, etc.

He’s an extremely impressive guy, a fantastic listener (and conversationalist), and I loved talking to him about books, business, and barbells!

Here’s the episode if you’re interested in checking it out. As of right now, it’s the biggest podcast I’ve ever appeared on! So that was cool.

That’s all for today - just wanted to share those few things, offer up a few book recommendations, etc.

And actually, there’s a great book I just finished that didn’t make it into my last video:

Reframe Your Brain, by Scott Adams. All about these small, yet impactful mental reframes that can help you hardwire your brain for success and happiness.

Not all of them are going to be useful to everyone, of course, (I believe there are more than 100), but there are certainly some powerful ones in there too.

Forward this to a friend you think would love this book!
